April Ashley (Duchess of Offa's Dyke) was the first of many celebrities to come to Hay, arriving with Viva King (the aunt of the King of Hay). With her exhibition running to 18 months in Liverpool Museum, she is now outperforming that of John Lennon whose exhibition closed after only 12!
